love to see how you're USING that planner, Em! I really resonated with the push/rest/flow categories you balance your week. My days usually look something like that as well, but they just turn out one way or another, and going into a day with intention would be helpful. I thought my FLOW days were half-baked PUSH days, but reading this made me realize they are important in different ways.

Do you always have the kind of day you planned for? What do you do if you don't have the energy you planned for?

That's honestly been the most exciting part, is that I'm actually excited for Push days because I kinda know the parameters and I know I need to plan a little more intensely, rather than "oh ugggh I have so much to do today and I bet I won't get it all done". And! Having selected push days gives me internal permission to say No to distractions or new plans on those days, which makes it less likely that I'll deviate from my intentions. This has really helped me get a sense of which days are "full" and which are flexible.

I wouldn't say there's a real way to confirm or deny that I did a push vs flow or flow vs rest day, it's really about attitude. A flow day might look like a push day when I look back at what I got done, or vice versa. But the category sets my mind at the beginning of the day and I just go from there :)

Definitely things gets changed up and I don't end up matching my Sunday plan all the way through the week sometimes. But having something to compare to helps me readjust if things get changed, rather than just thinking "well butts I'm behind on my whole plan", since typically I would just pack in as much as I thought I could reasonably do in a day... And it turns out planning for the maximum every day leaves you behind every time lol.

Energy wise all of those shifts add up to me feeling really energized! There's still days where my best laid plans are simply wrong for the moment (too tired can't focus something else comes up, whatever) but I feel a lot more confident about shifting and changing as needed.
